If one can get over the security guards standing with machine guns at every door step, one will find that El Salvador is filled with lush greenery, calming blue lakes and soothing colorful flowers.
Salvador city has fancy metropolitan malls, interesting historical sculptures and old nameless buildings that are fascinating and fun to explore in your own cabbie. For him, money did not make up for what he sorely missed.
Tiny parrot was a money-making slave fortune teller for it's owners as it picked from a limited pool of fortune telling cards :) Like every other spaniard town, this one also had a Plaza de Aramas with a handsome must see church in its courtyard. One spots security guards and policemen every where. Thankfully they have a sense of humor and a friendly demeanor.
