For our love for Tennis

BNP Paribas Open Tennis Tournament has a unique location at Indian Wells in Palm Springs desert, framed by beautiful mountains and glorious sunsets. We have been fortunate to watch this top Tennis action almost every year since 2011. The tournament is played on hard courts and is the best-attended tennis tournament outside of the four Grand Slams and boasts second-largest permanent tennis stadium in the world.

If Indian Wells is the 2nd largest, Arthur Ashe is the world's largest venue. We have made couple of trips here from California. Our memories include the agony of the 2009 Finals when Roger Federer was shocked by young and upcoming Del Potro leaving us forlorn. In 2016, the new multi-million dollar (but not noise proof) roof was in place and watched Del Potro again in an electrifying late night encounter against Wawrinka.

Roger-Rafa fans

For years, fear of Rafael has made a psychological impact on all Roger fans and Roger himself. By the time Rog beat Rafa in 2012 Indian Wells Semi Finals, most of Roger fans (at least in my household) had given up hope. And when he did, it was seen as a Miracle! For nearly five years before , Nadal had defeated Federer all over the world except on fast indoor courts,  physically and mentally, even when he was not at 100%. Tables turned as they always do. Hope is a beautiful thing.
Thrilled to have seen this match in person!
